Jackie's Dream Ant Doodle

Here's a doodle with an ant carrying an eyeball on its back. The eye is a feminine eye with beautiful long lashes. The eye, encased in an apple, is carried high in the air on top of a striped pole.

Ants are small creatures that are amazingly strong and determined. Ants have been known to build tunnels and move mountains. However, the serious face on this little ant shows that our doodler feels that life has become too tough and she is hauling around more than her fair share of burdens.

In contrast to the earthly little ant, the eye is large and held high in the air. What the ant (or body) can't do -- the eye (or mind) can. Our doodler is bright and can view the world from a perspective way above the average ant (or mortal).

The eye of this doodler's apple also reminds me of a large bird. Unlike ants -- which are earthbound, industrious, patient, hardworking, and humble – birds are carefree, beautiful creatures of flight and fancy.

Like the ant, our doodler is tough and strong. But, she has taken a deep breath, to pause, and...to dream. For this ant, rather than being burdened by everyday life, has devised a way to carry her dream on her back, allowing her, if only for a moment, to feel safe, unburdened by gravity, and above the fray.

Feedback from Jackie from Los Angeles, California

“That was so interesting. I do have a lot on my plate right now. I'm dealing with health issues and my sister and her three children have moved in and are living with us. I think I am responsible and hardworking like the ant. And, I have always been very physical and athletic. Unfortunately, I've been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and it's been difficult. I do think that my M.S. has forced me to see life from a different perspective. I feel that my view point has helped me see and handle things completely differently than most people. Thank you very much for your insights. I really appreciate it.”
